Lavender oil: a source of benefits
It is not unknown that 100% natural oils have numerous health benefits, including physical, emotional and spiritual ones. Lavender oil is one of these, and its properties include promoting relaxation, reducing anxiety and improving sleep. It is used worldwide in the production of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Lavender oil is one of the most popular oils in the world and it is very versatile in its use, especially in aromatherapy. In our Lila Massage Centre, aromatherapy is performed during the massage to increase the level of relaxation and bring feelings of calm and tranquillity.
Lavender oil is distilled directly from the lavandula angustifolia plant and comes to our hands prepared to be used directly on the skin, ready to work its magic. It is also used to treat allergies, states of depression, insomnia, skin problems such as eczema and fungus, and also helps with mentrual pain and nausea.
It is also used to treat sinusitis, calming its manifestation. We recommend a natural treatment: prepare a mixture of 3 to 4 drops of 100% natural lavender oil, 2 drops of 100% natural mint oil, 2 drops of salvia oil and 2 drops of 100% sunflower oil. With the recipe complete and homogeneous, you can apply in each nostril with a pipette between 2 to 3 drops, before bedtime.
To improve heart activity, lavender oil is also advised. It supports the improvement of cardiac function, removes palpitations of nervous origin and contributes to the normalisation of blood pressure. If you feel nervous, and your heart starts beating faster, lavender oil can calm you down and bring you a state of peace. To do this, you can sprinkle 2 to 3 drops of lavender oil on a tissue and inhale for a few seconds. You will find that the discomfort will disappear and you will automatically feel better and calmer.
How to use this wonder oil?
The answer is quite simple. Lavender oil does not have a daily limit recommendation, so you can use as much as you like. According to the principles of the art of aromatherapy, the act of inhaling lavender oil or applying it to the skin and letting it absorb, transmits specific messages to the limbic system, which is the unit of the brain connected to the central nervous system, responsible for emotions and social behaviour. When this message is sent, our emotions have the opportunity to be regulated and we can automatically feel a sense of well-being.
In addition to inhaling its pleasant smell or applying pure lavender oil directly to the skin, there is also another option, which is very popular and works very well. Combine lavender oil with a carrier oil (jojoba oil or sweet almond oil, for example), and once the oils come together in a homogeneous mixture, this mixture can be used in the bath, for a massage or simply to moisturise the skin.
Lavender oil is also recommended to relieve headaches and as it helps you sleep better, you can sprinkle a few drops on your pillow before bed. You can also put the oil in a diffuser so that your whole house smells good and its effect is felt throughout the day.
In our Lila Massage Centre you will feel the power of essential oils as soon as you arrive, and during your tantric massage you will be able to prove the power of aromatherapy, letting yourself be carried away by its beneficial effects, feeling your soul blooming and your whole being regenerating.
